Palmgren’s vertical column cold saw is designed for utility cutting as well as short run batch production when precision cutting is required. Ideally suited for applications that require frequent cutting of low and high carbon steels, solids, tubing and heavy sectional pieces with thick walls. The cutting saw head is smoothly advanced with a rack and pinion system on a precision machined cast iron column with dovetail slide. Because the blade travels at the optimum cutting angle to the workpiece, vibration is minimalized and the chip load on the blade is constant reducing blade fatigue resulting in longer blade life.
